Harsh Truth

Love isn't blind; it's just that sometimes we close our eyes to the glaring red flags. It's time to open them wide and see the truth.

2022 : Happy New Year! · Kat&Beyond

Happy New Year ! everyone 🥳 I hope all your hopes and dreams come true in 2022 – onwards and upwards!

I still find it hard to believe that its 2022 already and honestly I feel like I’m still stuck back in January 2020 when all this sh*t show began.  Time flies so fast and I still kept asking myself “where did 2021 go?”

Funny thing – earlier today, I came across some meme that says : When you realize 2022 is pronounced “2020 too”…  yeap! with this new Omicron variant + Poblacion Girl type of people… its possible for another 2020 scenario.

I really hope not and I don’t want to jinx it. But, part of me already accepted the fact that there might be another hard lockdown. The government placed Metro Manila under alert level 3 (again) from January 03 – 15. I really do hope that it won’t escalate to alert level 4.

2021 Year End Thoughts

Since 2020, everyday has been really depressing but in spite of the bad stuffs here and there I am grateful of so many things. Yes, I spent most of my 2021 days at home – bright side, I was able to design and create this blog, gained some social media friends (thank you for your support), learned new things as I was able to catch up with the latest blogging trend and all things WordPress related.

The greatest thing that I am truly thankful of is that all family members are well and healthy. Family business is great and somehow we’re all living comfortably without worries.

Goals for New Year 2022

Main thing that I needed to change is to fix my eating habits. Meaning, eat less junk! I am not the healthiest person. Not at all… but hey! I’m working on it.  I just have to start making the right food choices. Starting from, cutting my coffee intake in half. oof! wish me luck. Second, is to exercise more and stick to the schedule.

Third, stop buying stupid and unnecessary things! yeap… i tend to do this but truth be told, I improved a lot over the years. I just need to do better. Like, stop buying a Coca-Cola brand toothpick dispenser…🙄 I know right?! I just need to stop! Cute weird things is my weakness. I need better self control and not give in! haha (you don’t want to see my collection lol!)

Fourth, be more productive and improve myself when it comes to planning things ahead and executing the plans on time. Yes, I get things done but there are certain things that I am not being able to accomplish according to schedule.

Fifth, Kat&Beyond blog will be forever a work in progress. I aim to continue to learn new things to improve myself when it comes to blogging. I tend to neglect this blog from time to time due to hectic day-t0-day work schedule. I just have to include blogging on my future plans and actually set a time for it.

What I’ve been dying to do this year 2022

To travel! The last immigration stamp I had on my passport was December 2019. Literally, right before the pandemic. This year, I am not aiming to fly out of the country. I really want to but I don’t think its worth the risk. Instead, I am thinking of going on a road trip to Baler, Aurora – roughly 6 hour drive from the City. I’ve been wanting to go back since ages ago but due to rising covid cases, it wasn’t an option for me. Hopefully, this year things will go back to alert level 1.

Monday – January 03, 2022

Today is the first Monday of 2022. I woke up 5:30am to start my day and oh joy! it’s going to be a long day. Time to pick up few things left to do back in December 2021.  Cheers to a new year, new beginnings and new friends!

Wake up to the fact that loving the wrong person is like trying to tame a storm. Eventually, you'll be left in ruins.
