Today is June 10th 2022. Is it just me or time just passed quickly? Shocking that it’s mid 2022 already! This year has been far more better since 2019 and I am truly glad that things are slowly going back to normal… businesses and establishments are picking up. In fact, I just started being comfortable in some social situations.
So, why am I jotting this down?
Simply because I feel like I am failing to keep up with my goals and intentions for this year. I am fully aware that it’s perfectly normal and it happens to a lot of people but things became even more hectic for me for the past month. Seems like I am working backwards. Like, no matter how much changes and shuffling that I do, there are still certain things that’s being left behind.
Like, for example: this blog. I remember telling myself when I started Kat&Beyond that I should be consistent and should at least publish four times a month. But, if you’re going to look at my Archives – I only made 3 posts for the month of April and May and things is just one of many things. I know its not that bad but I cannot make this a habit! I poured so much blood and sweat building and designing this blog during 2021 lockdown. And, this is me and my way telling myself to “hey! keep it together.”
Mid 2022 Physical and Mental Health Check
Well, I am trying to do my best to somehow take properly care of my physical well-being. I try to lessen my desk job as much as I can and increase my daily physical activity.
Mental health check… honestly, I’m really not doing quite well… There is so many things going on in my mind right now and some of them feels like a dead-end. Simply because, I can’t find a solution for it and not knowing how to fix it just frustrates me even more this mid 2022.
Small Wins this Mid-2022
Somehow, I had several small wins this 2022. One of it is Kat&Beyond’s Google Search Performance. I know it’s not much compared to other blogs but to me this is a win! given that this blog is only almost a year old.
Another win for me is that starting this year 2022, I was able to somehow travel locally, in and out of the city. Since the COVID 19 cases are pretty low here in our country, my anxiety level is no longer kicking into the highest level even just running a simple errand.
In fact, Philippines is listed as one of the blue list countries by Japan. Meaning, vaccination passports or certificates are not mandatory to enter Japan and there is no quarantine requirement when you visit Japan whether you are vaccinated or un-vaccinated. But, I don’t think that I am ready to travel internationally again just yet.
DISCLAIMER: COVID19 and travel statement is purely based on the news that I’ve heard and should not be taken as a direct advice. Please do you own personal research and confirmation.
Improving Things for the Second Half of This Year
First, I think I need to focus more on learning how to calm myself and stop over thinking. Second, I need to better manage my finances and spend less on gadgets and gizmos which is kind of hard for me. I don’t spend on bags, shoes and other stuffs related to it. But, when it comes to latest gadgets, tech & gizmos… ugh! its really hard for me to say no especially if I am presented with a great deal! Third, I need to commit to improving my health and fitness goals and last but not the least, make time to blog! it’s good for my mental health.
These are the things that is on my priority list. Also, there are still a lot of habits that I need to change and only have less than 6 months left before this year ends. . Again, this is me telling myself “hey! keep it together.” I hope I can foster healthier habits. After all, its never too late to start yes? Wish me luck!
