In March 2023, I announced that I would be taking a break with @katandbeyond. The exact announcement stated that I would be on a break until mid-May 2023 due to several projects I needed to attend to and rediscovering my inspiration:
- Modernizing and completely overhauling two existing websites.
- Making minor updates on another website.
- Building two more websites from scratch
- Additionally, I had a corporate server to build.
Though it seemed like everything landed on my plate at once, I always act with purpose and give my undivided attention to ensure success in my commitments.
The original plan was to finish all website-related tasks by May so I could refocus on my personal blog. I expressed gratitude to those who have supported me through it all and emphasized that I couldn’t have done it without them. I looked forward to reconnecting with everyone in mid-May.
However, starting from July 1, 2023, I must admit that I miscalculated the time duration, and I haven’t completed all the projects yet. The delay primarily resulted from my ROG STRIX experiencing an unexpected LCD issue last week, which required me to send it to the service center. Thankfully, it got fixed within a week, but I cannot explain how it broke initially. It just happened mysteriously (its not even 1.1 years old! 🙄)

Perhaps, the universe was trying to send me a message to slow down and take a break, but I remained determined to keep pushing forward. As a result, my laptop took it upon itself to break.
Currently, around 80% of the projects are completed, and they are manageable. This gives me hope that I can finally allocate some time for my blog again.
Reigniting the Spark: Rediscovering Inspiration
Amidst the hustle and bustle of work, it’s easy to become caught up and eventually experience burnout. Taking a step back, I’ve realized the importance of work-life balance. Enjoying my work is great, but overwhelming tasks can neglect personal life.

Reflecting on work’s consumption is astonishing, but this July, I’m determined to reclaim inspiration, end overworking, and prioritize rejuvenating experiences.
Rediscovering the Importance of Fun
Amidst the realization of being solely focused on work, the significance of incorporating fun into our lives becomes apparent. It is essential to break free from the monotony of routine and create space for laughter, exploration, and rejuvenation. By actively seeking out enjoyable activities, we not only revitalize our spirits but also foster personal growth and nourish our creativity.
Reconnecting with Friends and Loved Ones
One aspect that often takes a backseat during periods of excessive work is social connection. As I embark on my journey to reignite the spark, reconnecting with friends and loved ones is a top priority.

Catching up with friends, sharing laughter, and creating memories strengthen relationships and infuse our lives with camaraderie. Together, we can embark on adventures, explore new places, and make cherished memories.
Embracing Novel Experiences
To break the cycle of work-induced burnout, it is crucial to venture beyond our comfort zones and embrace novel experiences. Exploring new things brings fresh air and opens minds to new perspectives and possibilities. Trying new hobbies, going on exciting trips, and venturing into uncharted territories can ignite our passions and reignite our inspiration.
Final Thoughts
Reflecting on my time away, I realize the need to escape work and rediscover inspiration. Balancing work and personal life, having fun, reconnecting with loved ones, and embracing new experiences are crucial for fulfillment. In July, I commit to breaking free from overworking, creating lasting memories that fuel my creativity, revitalize my spirit, and bring purpose and inspiration to both work and personal life. It’s time to reignite the spark and embark on a journey of rediscovering inspiration and embracing life’s joys.
