I didn’t know that this plugin exists not until I wanted to display the number of comments that i have on this website. It’s initial release was 2006! Jeff Starr (not Jeffree Star – totally different person) the author, made it highly customizable and so easy to use.
Aside from total number of comments, you can also show other great stats on your blog such as : display the total number of posts you have on your blog, date of most recent update, total number of categories and so much more!
Why showing your blog stats is important?
Building an online community is difficult now a days especially for a newbie like me. It requires tremendous amount of hard word and patience.
Simple blog stats like the number of posts and comments shows other visitors that your blog is growing. It helps build trust and encourages engagement, also helps you monitor your blog’s growth and plan strategy. Showing certain stats plays big a role in improving your online reputation. This WordPress plugin is really useful and a great addition for engaging an audience.
Truth be told, this blog is nowhere near done. I take my time and look for simple solutions that can help me improve this personal blog. Thanks to Simple Blog Stats i was able to add a useful widget on my sidebar.
Works well and easy to use with shortcodes. All stats are shown in a nicely formatted list. It uses clean valid markup, all stats are displayed on your dashboard too and no caching issues.
I am so happy about it and thought I should share this to you. If your blog is self-hosted and powered by WordPress, you should consider Simple Blog Stats. It’s been great to have a simple way to display comments and posts so everyone participating can see how things have developed.
